Vladimir Petkov likes to be called Kaladan. At present he is Director of Online Research & Development at Economedia where he is in charge of projects such as Dnevnik.bg, Capital.bg and Karieri.bg. He is a member of the board of the Interspace Media Art Center, the “Cult.bg” Foundation, and the Bulgarian Web Association. Vladimir is proud that he has taken part in projects like the “Open source software for Bulgarian NGOs”, “GNOME in Bulgarian!”, NGO-in-a-BOX and bpm ? hyperculture zone. He is in a perpetual dilemma whether to shave his beard like Linus Torvalds or to grow it even longer like Richard Stallman.
